Just a dude. When I was little, I developed bronchitis from the Los Angeles smog of the 70’s. Don’t know if it’s all connected, but to this day, I am susceptible to pneumonia pretty easily. Besides being concerned about air pollution, I kind of like things the way they are, for the most part, especially San Francisco (my birthplace) above water, without the ice caps melting and making the ocean levels rise. Although change is a constant, some things have become so familiar, you like them so much, you kind of want them around for future generations to enjoy as well.
Now I live in the Chicago area and I work in energy research, hoping to find solutions that are currently working in the world and apply them to other parts of the earth that need help. I hope that you will read through all of the blog entries, find things that you can do and apply them to your life. That’s how we all start. So let’s all get started, alright?
Change requires action. I think humans were meant to do some pretty amazing things, way more than what we’ve done up to now. You may disagree with me, but right now is one of our big tests. We beat it, we become something even greater than what we are now, at least on the inside. But it will take billions of people working on one single cause together to have any chance of success – whether we like each other, hate each other, have different philosophies, religious beliefs, whatever. Can we do it? We better get started!
